The convergence of technology allows the use of low-cost digital photogrammetry to analyse the overview of the Earth's surface and structure in civil activities. The project deals with the 3D metric reconstruction of the UNITEN, Putrajaya open laboratory facilities. Through the combination of aerial data collected with UAV and terrestrial data obtained with close range photogrammetry techniques, complete mapping of the area was carried out. The data acquired were then processed using digital photogrammetric software from Agisoft Metashape and stitched together using the Structure from Motion (SFM), a technique that uses a sequence of 2-dimensional images to recreate a scene or object's 3-dimensional structure. The results showed the possible applicability of UAV technology for fast and reliable building 3D reconstruction to monitor building progress and building inspections, real-time. The Digital Elevation Model (DEM) is also reliable to track the elevation data when compared to traditional surveying data. The orthophotos gives precise measurements when compared to AutoCAD drawing of site. These results indicate that the combination of low-cost UAV and a digital camera can be used as a viable alternative to data collection with the objective of creating 3D modelling of buildings or areas collected from aerial and terrestrial data.

- PublicationAnaerobic co-digestion of agricultural and agro-industrial waste(2020-02)
;Muhammad Zulhelmi Bin Mohd AzmiBiogas technology is an effective solution to deal with the problem of a more stable and effective source of renewable energy through its potential capacity to maintain an atmosphere free of pollution. In addition to being a renewable energy source, biogas digester systems would stop high exposure of methane, carbon dioxide and other pollutants to the atmosphere. In addition, biogas combustion displaces the use of fossil fuels for energy generation, thus contributing to additional greenhouse gas (GHG) and other air pollutants reduction. In latest years, to compliment the growing interest in renewable energy, a growing number of centralized biogas plants have been built to transform livestock manure into renewable energy products such as electricity or bio methane products for their cost efficiency. The present idea is to use industrial and agro industrial waste from farms and palm oil mills to generate methane gas by means of anaerobic digestion. An anaerobic digester includes an oxygen-free system that enables microorganisms to degrade the organic material for biogas production. Once the biogas is generated, it can be used to assist the developing world for various applications. This paper will investigate anaerobic co-digestion between two or more substrates samples consisting primarily of palm oil mill effluent (POME), napier grass and cow dung. It has been discovered that the measure of biogas yield from these substrates increments with an expansion in volatile solid and diminishes with a decrease in volatile solid proportion. Furthermore, biomethane potential method have been utilized to assess anaerobic biodegradability, potential proficiency, and organic matter in every substrate. - PublicationAnalog temperature control and PC sound card monitoring system(2002)
;Muhammad Nur Hisham Bin KamaruddinThis project was to introduce a new technique in measuring temperature using PC sound card instead of costly data acquisition card. Beside that, the system was also to show that instead of recording high frequency signals, PC sound card can be used to capture slow varying signal from mechanical quantities especially temperature. The system was an extension from the finding made by three of Universiti Tenaga Nasional lecturers in low frequency signal monitoring in Matlab/Simulink environment using PC sound card. The complete system was successfully used to control and monitor the temperature in a modeled space at a specified setpoint or maximum temperature. Both controlling and monitoring elements were working together without any problem or conflict between them. - PublicationAnalysis and implementation of artificial immune system on embedded system to solve optimization problems(2011)

- PublicationAssessment of sediment removal efficienncy of a stormwater particle inceptor tank(2020-09)Garba Muazu AbdullahiA progression of comparative experiments, with and without BGS, was carried out in a 2mx1mx1m tank. Samples used were taken from UNITEN College of Engineering BM building car park runoff and the BGS tested was in 1.3cmx1.5 cm size. The experimental results demonstrated that the particle removal efficiencies with the application of BGS were about 6% higher than when tested without the BGS for flow rates ranges from 0.2 l/s to 0.5 l/s. SPLIT was developed in the laboratory to test the effectiveness of the system to retain and treat stormwater particles. A series of experiments were conducted with different inflow rates and particle concentrations. The results showed that SPLIT system was able to remove >80% of the particles (measured as TSS concentration) from the laboratory-simulated stormwater runoff. The particle size analysis also demonstrated that reductions in the d50 of the samples in the laboratory testing from 300 m (influent) to approximately 50 m (effluent). Reduction in other pollutants that associate with particles is depending on their concentration association by particle size. The laboratory testing results had proved that SPLIT system was able to retain and remove the particles and pollutants effectively under various inflow rates.
