Abstract
A major city needs a transportation plan for its sustainable development. Without an appropriate plan for its transportation facilities and services, problems may occur with respect to environmental, social and economic issues. Similarly, a university that has a significantly big campus and high number of students would need a transportation plan for its sustainable development. A university is like a town but of a smaller scale and transportation plan for sustainable development that is implemented in a university can be a full scale model that is being tested and to be considered for a town or community. This case study research is basically about the need of a transportation plan for sustainable development of a university, a review of current plans for transportation facilities and services in several selected universities and to propose a transportation plan for UNITEN.
