Abstract
When fault occurs at on a transmission line it will produce a very high magnitude of fault current and if the fault current is not grounded properly, it will produce disturbance to the overall system of the transmission system. The fault current wil be grounded through the grounding grid of the transmission system which consist of the earth wire at the transmission towers, the tower foot grounding system and substation grounding system.
