Abstract
A fall is an event which results in a person coming to rest on the ground or other lower level. Fall has been reported as the second leading cause of intentional and unintentional deaths. Falls usually happens to elderly people at the age of 65 years and above and most likely due to some environmental and medical factors It can be catastrophic to fall and become helped because no one is conscious of this falling incident that could lead the elderly people to more severe injuries. Quick response and rescue time are crucial when a falling event occurs. There are several innovations out there to help the elderly monitors fall. An IoT based fall detection system was designed to be a wearable type of fall detector to track elderly people’s behaviour and predict fall. A prototype of the fall detection system using only the accelerometer and gyroscope to determine fall more accurately. A fall detector that must also be able to notify helper regarding the fall event
