Abstract
This thesis reports the experimental study on the effect of linear drying shrinkage to the potential self-curing agent in high-performance concrete using waste diapers polymer. The objective of this thesis is to study the density of high-performance concrete using diaper polymer as a self-curing agent. Next, the effect of high-performance concrete in terms of linear drying shrinkage using diaper polymer as a self-curing agent. Lastly, the strength of high-performance concrete using diaper polymer as a self-curing agent. Several sets of experiments are conducted on this study which is compressive strength, slump test, density test and drying shrinkage. The results of experiments indicate the performance of the concrete by using diaper polymer will improve the strength and durability of the concrete. Moreover, the lower the percentage of the diaper polymer the lower the drying shrinkage on a concrete because the diaper polymer will act as a water basin in the concrete and will be release by time. The density of the high-performance concrete using diaper polymer will be almost as same as the standard concrete. The objective of this study to find the compressive strength, density and drying shrinkage on a high-performance concrete by using self-curing agent can be achieved by doing the experimental.
