Abstract
Manufacturing industry is one of the industries that expose to the Work-Related Musculoskeletal disorder among their workers because of their work environment usually involves repetitive movement, lifting heavy items and awkward posture. There are nine parts that are common problem in musculoskeletal disorders which are neck, elbow, wrist, leg, shoulder, back, knees and head. This study is to determine the presence of work-related musculoskeletal disorder in a manufacturing industry. This research methodology is doing by survey in one company to get the result. The survey is using a Nordic Questionnaire which is the question will involve the nine important part in musculoskeletal disorder. The result shows that most of the workers are having problem with their low back, upper back, shoulder, wrist, neck and elbow. Neck is the highest percentage of workers that having problem for last 12 month which is as much as 62.2%. The lowest percentage is legs, which is as much as 24.3%. From the result of the survey, the analysis has made and an office chair should be redesign to prevent work-related musculoskeletal among workers because an office chair is one of the most important things in the office. Most of the workers will spend a long time sitting in a chair to do their work.
