Abstract
As human gets older, their physical capabilities gradually decreasing. Elders
usually need the assistance of others to move about. Hence, the creation of mobility
assistive device is critical for the elder. It will help them greatly to run through their
daily routine without much help. The problem commonly face by elders are standing
up from sitting position or vice versa without other assistance. Therefore, device that
can help the elder overcome this problem should be produce. An estimated of 37%
elder falls and injured themselves each year. [1] Even though there are various type of
assistive device being, most of it has its limitation on what it can or cannot do.
The idea of the project is developing a new assistive device that can overcome
this problem and lessen the of falling for elder when operating the devices. This can
be overcome by integrating new safety features on the product. This I why a more
