Abstract
The growing presence of renewable photovoltaic (PV) power generation in national infrastructure leads to the continuous search for improvement to mitigate the destabilizing effects of renewable intermittency. Intermittency in solar power mainly occurs because of solar irradiance and temperature. Intermittency can lead to grid instability as well as further losses. The disruption in power generation from Renewable Energy Sources (RES) has become a key issue in the transition to renewable energy [1]. This project would concentrate on the effective incorporation of energy storage system with controller to mitigate the intermittent from solar PV. The design of the solar PV system is validated through MATLAB Simulink before intermittency problem is created. Battery energy storage with controller is proposed in this paper to solve the intermittency problem. All the simulation results are evaluated in ensuring the objectives of this project are successfully achieved.
