Abstract
Nowadays, consumer demanding electric appliance to be portable and cordless system, hence inductive coupling seen has a good potential. Therefore, this project objective is to remodel the wireless power transfer by using resonance inductive coupling with aided of simulation and prototype. Basically, the inductive coupling an applied principle in operation of conventional power transformer. When there's an oscillating current fed the primary coil it will generate magnetic field that later flow through magnetic core and induces into secondary coil, hence power transferred from primary to secondary coil. Conventional transformer uses magnetic core as medium to transfer magnetic field or magnetic flux from primary to secondary coil. This technique required primary and secondary coil placed as closer as possible. By removing magnetic core that previously acted as a path for magnetic flux to flow the path become air-cored between the two coils and yield a wireless power transfer. In order to cater leakage flux, resonant coupling approach is recommended. By this method both primary and secondary coil are loaded with capacitance that form as tuned LC circuit [2]. When both coils are resonated at same frequency the power transmitted within the coils.
