Abstract
Earlier reported works used 7 km dispersion compensating fiber (DCF) as gain medium in open-cavity multi-wavelength Brillouin-Raman fiber laser. In this paper, we investigate the laser performance using five different fiber spools. Our initial results reported here show shorter DCF may offer optimum number of channels, side-mode suppression ratios and flatness. � 2022 IEEE.
