dc.description.abstractThis paper investigate the improvement of the Class F fly ash against pozzolanicity. Class F fly ash with Blain Fineness of 6477.93 cm2/g is collected from Kapar Energy Ventures Sdn. Bhd., Kapar thermal power station, Kapar, Selangor, Malaysia. It is used for this study. The study involve four replacement levels of fly ash on cement which is 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% for each mix design. There are total of 9 mix design in this study. This study will test for the fly ash as collected from the thermal power plant and also the fly ash as processed by grinding it using Los Angeles Abrasion Machine for a consecutive of 8 hours. An Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity is also conducted. The cement mortar cube performance is evaluated with respect to compressive strength at 7, 14 and 28 days of curing.
