Throughout the world, devastating landslides occur with little or no advance warning. The amount of damage and lost of life maybe catastrophic. if landslide could be predicted, many lives could be saved. Hence it would be beneficial if there are sensors which could display the soil conditions and give an early warning to the relevant authorities. This thesis proposed the method to access soil condition via the measurement of the soil resistivity. The development of a soil resistivity sensor is required to correlate the resistivity reading to the occurrence of land slide. Soil resistivity is one of the factors affecting the occurrence of the land slide.en_US
