This thesis reports the analysis of dynamic stability in an electrical network during post islanding by using MATLAB and Simulink software. Islanding is a system where it is break into few subsystems. It is a complete island where it consists generators and loads. Nowadays, islanding is very important as it can act as backup when the power system is having shutdown or worse blackout occur. This happened because there are faults occurred and cause cascading failure. Cascading failure can make several parts or whole power system blackout. Therefore, islanding mode is introduced in the system to keep the continuity of power supply. In this project, the dynamic stability during post islanding are being observed. Stability of the system are very important to keep the system in good conditions. In doing this analysis, IEEE 9-bus system has been designed in the Simulink. The behavior of the generators has been analyzed form load angle, rotor speed and rotor speed deviation. From this, the dynamic stability can be concluded whether it is stable or not.en_US
