dc.description.abstract | High voltage equipment adopted a lot of designs. To withstand a very high electric stress and a high breakdown voltage capability, a particular application may require a unique design. Despite the fact that the emission of SF6 gas is quite small compared to CO2 gas, the global warming potential (GWP) is the highest among all existing gases. Therefore, the electrical power industry has been striving to discover an alternative for SF6 gas with a smaller GWP and less environmental effect. Up to this point, researchers have been trying to discover appropriate replacement for SF6 gas with testing on new gases and gas mixtures. A dependable pressurized vessel appropriate for high voltage applications which can resist high pressure is necessary to describe the breakdown characteristics of the new gases. Since SF6 gas circuit breaker is difficult to simulate due to its complexities, pressure vessel is chosen as an alternative to determine the electric field behavior. | |
