Abstract
This thesis presents the development of a complete functional photogrammetry scanner to capture and recreate a physical object shapes and its textures. Two scanner prototypes go through a test to determine its usability and most importantly its precision and accuracy. There are various conditions to be set and met in order to achieve the desired scan quality from the hardware configuration to the digital editing of the recreated model. The right photogrammetry software is also chosen to recreate a good digital copy of the real object. These software goes through mesh analysis to measure and analyse the best output by processing the same image dataset produced into a textured mesh. The depth colourmaps analysis identifies any error on the mesh compared to the original object as the reference model. The same procedure is also used to test the prototype scan output.
