Abstract
Firefighters are susceptible to various kinds on immediate harm and injuries as well as long term work related illness. The number of fatalities among firefighters is considerably high and alarming. The purpose of this project is to develop a robot that can assist firefighter to do the dangerous and risky tasks. the robot is controlled remotely by hand gesture made by user with the data gloves The robot is capable of receiving and transmitting data wirelessly and spray water into target area. The finding throughout the development of this robot is on the capability of the Accelerometer to sense gesture made by user, the capability of RF transceiver to transmit and receive data over different parameters. The final outcome of the robot development is the ability and potential of this robot to be used to assist firefighters to extinguish fire and minimize danger faced by firefighter during performing their job
