Abstract
Traffic Impact Assessment(TIA) is an essential tool used to evaluate the effect of traffic produced on existing road and transportation systems from a proposed site development project or a new construction area. It will detect the need for safety measures to reduce or upgrade roadways. While TIA does not substitute a wide area or regional transport report, it provides a basis for the authorities, planners, and developers to make important land use and site planning decisions on traffic and transportation matters. TIA can also be used by local authorities as a basis for evaluating the contribution of a developer to road improvements. The objective of this study is to determine the existing traffic pattern and to justify proper mitigation measures for Jalan TUDM. The main data of this study is to identify the traffic volume and to observe the level of service of the road. From the finding, it was found that the level of service of the road is LOS F. even there is some complication between the findings and observation, a proper mitigation measure is proposed to obtain and to upgrade the level of service. By proposing suitable mitigation measure also can overcome or reduce the congestion of the road.
