Abstract
The thesis; entitled "Development of a Robust Portable Solar Charger for Low Wattage Device", reports mainly on the development the portable solar charger for low wattage device uses and having a better review about the components and the overall system of this project. Therefore, the usage of smart phones and computer tablet has been widely used and it has becoming a trend to own any of the gadgets especially for students. Unfortunately, there are few disadvantages of using these gadgets and one of the disadvantages is that the battery does not last longer as it is expected. Roughly, the length the battery can last is about 5 hours. Hence, to overcome this problem, we need a product that is mobile and is able to charge the battery especially in the outdoor area which doesn't have any power supply. Generally, this project is about converting sun energy to produce electricity. In this project itself, using a solar panel to convert the sun's energy to a 240 Voltage Alternating Current (VAC) that can be used to charge device such as cell phones and other compatible gadgets. Beside, construct and run the testing of the load on device such as mobile phone, bulb lamp and computer tablet.
