Abstract
In a hot and sunny day, the surrounding temperature may raise very high up to 33°C and sometimes more. When it comes to our automobiles, we felt very hot and burning inside of our car when we park under the roofless parking. This phenomenon is unfortunately can affect our health and it has to be improved or more efficiently eliminate it. How can we reduce and improve the temperature inside of our car? Throughout this research, the interior car temperature is targeted to reduce to a comfort temperature which is not hazardous temperature to the human. This paper also studies the current cooling system of a car and comparing the current existing devices to each other. There are several methods are used to come out with a good product which will follows the customer requirements while can meet the technical requirements at the same time such as Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Morphological Analysis (MA) methods. Besides that, this research provides data about the temperature inside of the car during a hot day which is approximate twice of the surrounding temperature. At the end of this research paper, the best design is selected by using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) results. Lastly, the results obtained by the CFD analysis determined the best concept which is specifically is to modify the car body to increase the air ventilation. Therefore, in order to reduce the temperature of interior of a car is to develop a device which helps the air circulation inside of a car.
