Abstract
This thesis reports the experimental study on the effect of different curing process for self-curing concrete using used diapers polymer. The objective of this thesis is to determine the workability of self-curing concrete with the addition of diapers polymer with different curing method. Next, to determine the compressive strength of self-curing concrete with the addition of diapers polymer. Lastly, to determine the density of self-curing concrete with the addition of diapers polymer. Several sets of experiments are conducted on this study which is a slump test, compressive strength test, density test and drying shrinkage test. The results of experiments indicate the performance of the concrete by using diapers polymer will improve the strength and durability of the concrete. Moreover, the lower the percentage of the diapers polymer, the lower the drying shrinkage on concrete because the polymer will act as a water basin in the concrete and will be released by time. The density of the high-performance concrete using diapers polymer will be almost the same as the standard concrete. The objectives of this study are to find the workability, compressive strength and density on a high-performance concrete by using a self-curing agent can be achieved by doing the experiments.
