dc.description.abstractThis thesis reports the stimulation of Electroluminescence phenomenon in insulating polymeric cable subjected to high electric fields. Further studies suggested that Electroluminescence phenomenon one of the factor of insulating polymeric ageing during high electrical fields transport by conductor either single phase or three phases. Electroluminescence phenomenon express how ageing occurs and by investigate this, insulating polymeric underground power cable operating life can be improve since replacement of ageing underground power cable is costly. On the other hand, this thesis also shows theory of Electroluminescence play a role on how this mechanism occurs subjected to degrade insulting polymeric in underground power cable.en_US
