A grounding system is one of the most essential parts in any types of construction. As for solar plants, it is really important to have a proper grounding system even for a small plant. The reason being that most of the solar panels’ exposed parts are made of metal and without an appropriate path for any stray currents from the panels to flow, lives could be in danger. All these parts are bonded with a good conductor which is connected to the grounding rod which connects to the grounding grid. One of the major factor affecting a grounding system is the soil resistivity. The value of soil resistivity affects the length of grounding rods to be used. For a large plant, the soil resistivity could vary throughout. The bigger the plant is, the more complex the grounding system it will need.en_US
