Rain is the main contributor towards signal attenuation for satellites that is operating above 3 GHz and it became severe at 10 GHz and above. This becomes a matter of concern for satellite services as it will affect the provided services such as the MEASAT satellite services. Orbital diversity (OD) is seen to be a method that might solve the mitigation of rain attenuation. It is a method that uses multiple satellites to transmit signal streams towards one mutual ground station. For tropical region, OD only have a little of information compared to the research that had been studied in region such as Europe. An OD simulation model has been setup for this research.en_US
