Disaster management (DM) is the management of resources and responsibilities of all related agencies in dealing with emergencies that aim to lessen the impact of disasters. It requires proper communication process and effective coordination in managing infostructure to help organizations in managing disaster operations. The concept of maturity model can be applied in ensuring that performance of all processes in all agencies related to infostructure are optimized to ensure the success of disaster management. However, there is no performance evaluation of the information used in DM activities that are needed to support an effective disaster management. Based on the literature in DM and CMM, and the analysis of the current scenario of local disaster management in handling flood, a multi-dimensional set of critical processes for characterizing the levels of infostructure maturity model has been proposed. Specifically, there are three key dimensions of capability influencing the use of infostructure in DM effort: coordination, communication and control. The maturity model is intended to be sufficiently generic to be applied to different types of disaster management, although the paper focused on flood as it reflects the data collected during flood. 2016 International Information Institute.en_US
