Abstract
The project proposed on topic regarding generate electricity from wastewater using microbial fuel cell. There is four factor effect happen to be study in this project which are size of anode, changing in temperature, pH of electrolyte, and electrode pair. The project consist of its own objective that will help flourish the topic. Study on microbial fuel cell technology for future development as wastewater to be one of the renewable energy. For the size of anode the measurement collected are based on anode that have the highest surface area which is 225cm. The better surface area will play most part bidding into this project. Furthermore, this country contain 2 season which is rain and hot. At this particular time temperature will be going up and down. Four things that had been observed which are in hot temperature, cold temperature, room temperature and warm temperature. Hot temperature give 0.2V, cold temperature give 0.35V, room temperature give 0.5V while warm temperature give 0.7V. Besides, pH electrolyte make us aware on alkaline, acidic and neutral of the wastewater. Different pH make the microbial fuel cell change in voltage. Bacteria need pH to neutral their form. From the experiment that had been done, neutral give voltage of 0.7V by having 7pH. Next one are acidic and alkaline which give the voltage value of 0.29V and 0.35V simultaneously. Lastly for the electrode pair, the best electrode pair goes to steel mesh and copper. The amount of voltage able to capture are 0.95V and 0.9V. The combination of this four method will create a tremendously well-structured prototype to be include for the industry.
