Abstract
Mycelium is small branching tube that is available in the underground or soil beneath us. The characteristic that it have give a lot of beneficial to us in tackling the environmental issues. One of the waste issues that is need to be tackle is the waste material in construction specifically the brick. The type of brick nowdays such as mortar, and concrete brick have bring a lot of bad impacts to the environment. Thus, the study here is to show how we want to overcome the problem in the brick waste by using mycelium as it medium to the oyster spawn and sawdust material. The mycelium will bind the oyster spawn and sawdust within only a few weeks because both the material is the perfect condition for the mycelium to grow and to bind. The mycelium will take a shape of cube brick and thus will undergo moisture content test and compression test in order to achieve the objective needed in this studies. This study also shows that sawdust in different sizes can imorove the compression strength for the mycelium brick to grow within.
