| dc.description.abstract | In today's world, with growing development in science and technology, food security is still a major issue faced by many developing countries. This issue can be observed through the countries reliance on imported goods, especially in the agriculture industry. This issue becomes a devastating problem when land commodity have been coming at a premium as of late. The main purpose of this research is aimed to improve the growth rate of agricultural produce and at the same time avoid deforestation. There is also a growing need to be self-sufficient in producing food. All of this issues can be curbed by producing agricultural produce with a hydroponic system. A hydroponic system can be designed and controlled depending on the plant and the surrounding conditions. It uses water as a medium to grow plants. The aim of this study is to design and developed of new rotary hydroponic concept with small footprint for indoor usage. Through proper design concept analysis and software simulations, a prototype will be constructed. This prototype will be tested and analysed through its performance to grow plants in a confined space. | |
