dc.description.abstractThis case study is focusing on some improvements ideas to boost up the productivity for a manufacturing industry. At the same time, it also gives big intention in solving the problem faced by the workers at packaging section. The potential company which has related with this case study is chosen. The collection of data, observation and analysis had been the vital procedure in this case study.At first, the most crucial process line is detected by referring the total amount of scrap produced for a particular month. Since the productivity has relationship with the amount of production and the plant capacity installed, these types of data are collected during the process line visit. The observation towards that particular process line is focusing on four types of elements in Ishikawa diagram which are man, method, material and machine. The improvements ideas are recommended to the company through these 4M elements.For the second part of this case study, a survey is conducted among the workers at packaging section based on designated Nordic questions. The purpose of the survey is to identify the presence of hand pain due to hand tool application and how much it is disturbing their jobs. In conjunction with this issue, a design of hand gadget is proposed to the company in order to help the workers to perform their jobs better
