dc.description.abstractThe performance of high speed electrical Multi Slot Amplitude Coding (MSAC) technique with cost efficient intensity modulation/direct detection (IM/DD) in an optically amplified communication system is presented. Simulation setups of 3�10Gbit/s, 4�10Gbit/s, and 5�10Gbit/s MSAC have been investigated. The results obtained clearly show that this technique can be applied to increase spectral efficiency and maintain clock recovery frequency as well as modulation speed for optical communication system. � 2012 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. - All rights reserved.en_US
