Abstract
As the world is rapidly moving towards sustainable power sources to reduce the production of harmful emissions in the atmosphere, the implementation of sun-oriented energy applications has risen significantly in the past century. Layers of semiconducting materials also referred to as Solar panels, are used to convert sun irradiance into electricity. Solar panels are typically positioned in a perpendicular angle towards the sun, which directly affects its conversion efficiency as the sun continuously alerts its path throughout the day. Hence, the implementation of a solar cooling system is desired in order to enhance the overall conversion efficiency and to maximize the operative hours of the solar panels. The prototype built contains two solar panels, one of them is attaching a copper pipe from the backside and make sure that the pipe is not moving, the solar panel frame was drilled from both sides, and the copper pipe has entered through it. A comparison between the solar with cooling pipes and solar pane without has been executed to compare the output voltage and the difference in efficiency, the data collected has shown an increment in the overall efficiency in the case of the movable solar panel by a value of 15.43%.
