Abstract
This paper examines the factors that affect smart home adoption among homeowners in Klang Valley. This study used descriptive analysis and multiple regression to analyse the independent variable, which is adoption cost, home security, energy efficient smart home appliances and the dependent variable is smart home adoption. A total of 398 respondents participated in this survey to analyse the relationship between these variables. As a result, the study's findings
could be used to help homeowners in Klang increase awareness and understanding of the long term advantages of smart home technology can mitigate perceived barriers, leading to broader adoption. This research provides valuable insights for developing strategies to advance smart home technology adoption, contributing to the creation of more secure, energy-efficient, and sustainable residential environments in Klang Valley.
