Communication is the key to any collective environment. It allows entities in a group to synthesize information, ideas, and feelings as well as to create and share meaning. In the proposed Collective Intelligence Model (CIM), the communication process entails many fruitful discussions through argumentations and negotiations. These iterative phases ultimately yield the cross-fertilization of ideas and knowledge which influences the entities in the group on a communal decision. In this paper, we discuss the concept of cross-fertilization of ideas in the context of the Collective Intelligence Model (CIM). Here, we introduce the second stage of a cross-fertilization scenario. Concurrently, we propose the logics that render the cross-fertilization process in our CIM. 2016 IEEE.en_US
