dc.description.abstractThis thesis addresses the pattern classification of different types of partial discharge sources from acoustic emission (AE) signals in the time-frequency representation. This research work consists of the acoustic emission of partial discharge experimental setup, analysis in time-frequency representation, features extraction of the time-frequency representation and lastly the classification of partial discharge signals from three different types of sources in the experimental tank.en_US
