This project is about the modelling, simulation and analysis of harmonics present in the micro-grid system for linear and none linear loads. The study is using MATLAB Simulink where a small grid system is designed, injected with AC source and harmonics. The study will also focus on the filter to see how effective it is used to remove or reduce the harmonic in the system. The conditions sets in terms of filter are linear loads with filter and without filter performance under harmonics and none linear loads with filter and without filter under harmonics. The solar PV array in 100 kW and wind microturbine with 65 kW are selected as main components to study the harmonics. Both of these are connected in a network. Their outputs are added to give sum of the voltage in the micro-grid network. The end results will show the waveforms, determine the THD (Total Harmonics Distortion), the reduction of harmonics by the filter and determine the factors that influence the harmonics and efficiency of removing the harmonics in the micro-grid system.en_US
