Abstract
The Malaysian government is currently implementing an initiative to install smart meter (SM) in all Malaysian homes. Hence, this study analyses the contributing factors that influence the continuance use of SM among SM users in Melaka. This study found that the existing SM users in Melaka were slightly willing to continue using SM. Among the contributing factors to the continuance use of SM are attitude toward SM, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, internal perceived locus of causality and external perceived locus of causality. Moreover, the findings have been used to develop an index called Continuance Use of Smart Meter Index (CUSMI). 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
