Agriculture is the third most important sector in Malaysia. Unfortunately, the management of rice residues is still in poor state. Burning rice straw and rice husk has become the main option to dispose the rice residues. This activity gives bad impact to the environment. Biomass is one of the renewable and sustainable energy resources. Through biomass, the paddy residues can be utilise for biofuel production. This research studies on the potential of biofuel pellet production from rice residues in KADA region. The scope focus on farmers and mills’ management that is available in that region. Quantitative method is used to collect data for the research from 57 farmers and 3 mill’s managements. This includes interview with the respondents by face-to-face, phone call and through DFO officer. The results of the research shows that there is potential of biofuel pellet production as the residues since the residues are not being handled in a way that it supposed to.en_US
