Abstract
This thesis report includes the analysis of rotor angle stability with high levels of penetration of renewable energy sources. Renewable energy sources have replaced conventional methods of power generation with a growing environmental demand taking into account environmental and economic problems. Renewable energy sources, particularly photovoltaic energy, typically provide power to the network through electronic energy converters, leading to a lack of inertia and torque synchronization throughout the network. The stability of the rotor angle is weakened by the increasing penetration of renewable energy sources. This article examines the stability of the rotor angle of a renewable energy system model with high energy penetration. The software used for this analysis is PSSE with the power supply of the ISSE-30 bus system.
