Abstract
Every company that are involved with construction industry are bound to have a delayed progress at some stage in their project. In order to avoid delayed progress good project time management needs to be practice. By implying excellent project time manage, will increase the effectiveness of work progress. Good construction progress can give good impacts to the company itself and the overall development of a nation. An effective project time management can improve overall economic progression plan of a nation. This research is to identify success factor of effective project time management for hydropower construction project in Malaysia, to determine and rank critical success factors of effective project time management for hydropower construction in Malaysia, to develop structural equation model of critical success factors of effective project time management. The questionnaire was divided by 3 parts, firstly are demographic question, second are the critical success factor and lastly the impact of good project time management. It was distributed to 30 experts to validated the success factor which is researcher gained from literature review, and 150 total set questionnaires distributed for second stage. For stage only 19 respondents give feedback and for second stage, total of 111 feedback. There are 52 success factors at the beginning of this study and finally on 27 success factors were considered critical and have good impacts on effective project time management.
