Abstract
This article shares the findings on the state of information security implementation of Mosul's health sector. The study was done via a self-administrated questionnaire and interviews with the IT manager or personnel with functions related to IT in selected hospitals in the city of Mosul. It is found that all hospitals in study have some form of mechanism to secure information through having good governance practice in place. However there are various degrees of implementation found. It is recommended that these findings be used as basis for improving and developing a secure information-based system for their respective hospitals.
