Abstract
Stress is a response that often make patients become un-stabled physically and mentally. Until recently, various types of treatment are practiced by physiologists to remedy stress problems. Virtual reality (VR) technology that is able to create an immersive 3D environment can be a better treatment therapy in comparison to existing techniques particularly to an imaginary technique. In this paper, we propose an immersive VR-based stress therapy that includes typical Malaysian environment in 3D, zikr, which is an Islamic ritual prayer and soothing audio. In order to prove the effectiveness of the VR-based stress treatment, comparative studies between VR-based and imaginary techniques was conducted and analysed. 2014 IEEE.
