The thesis analysed the relationship between determinants that influence the purchase intention of energy efficient household appliances by working adults in Klang Valley. This study used the multiple regression analysis to analyse the degree of impact between the independent variables namely attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioural control and environmental concern, and one dependent variable namely purchase intention
of energy efficient household appliances by working adults. A total of 391 respondents participated in this survey to analyse the relationship between these variables. At the end of this research, the findings may be used by industries and policy makers to further improvise and strengthen their approach in transitioning towards energy efficiency by promoting the use and adoption of energy efficient household appliances in Malaysia.
