dc.description.abstract | Home automation system has grown rapidly and become important nowadays that include latest and modern technologies. In this paper, the framework of the intelligent home automation system is proposed for disabled people in Malaysia since Malaysia is lack of disabled-friendly facilities at the house by using Raspberry Pi 3 Model B and Blynk Application to control the appliances and alarm for security purposes. In order to improve the system, the algorithm is developed successfully throughout the process of finishing this project. The methodology of this project started with the developing and design the idea of the system followed by the identification and selection of the hardware, the operating system, and the experiment construction and setup. The algorithm used in this project is based on the detection of the motion of human when the PIR sensor senses the motion. The HOG method is used to detect the motion of an intruder and to capture the image of the intruder. During the experiment conducted, a few problems occurred and one of them is due to the internet connection when the user needs to control the appliances and alarm by using the Blynk Application. However, this problem solved after a few times the experiment conducted. | |
