Abstract
This study examines the Impacts of Macroeconomic Factors on Income Disparity in Malaysia. The chosen variables encompass the female labor force participation rate, economic growth, tertiary education, and the unemployment rate. The research endeavors to analyze the relationships between income disparity and other independent variables by utilizing quantitative data from 1990 to 2021. It aims to investigate the dynamics of this relationship in both the short and long run. The study utilizes the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model to identify significant relationships between income disparity and the given variables, both in the short and long run. The results emphasize the significance of comprehending the complex connections between macroeconomic variables and the income disparity. By identifying these relationships, Malaysia can formulate informed policies to address income disparity effectively, contributing to a more equitable and inclusive economic landscape.
