dc.description.abstract | This thesis reports the development of energy management system of a standalone eco-kiosk that is represented by a down-scale model. The model performs all the elements that are needed to be present in the energy management system of a solar- powered eco-kiosk. The photovoltaic (PV) system is a rapidly-rising renewable energy system that is widely available around the globe. PV system designed need to be manage wisely in term of its energy harvested and also the maintenance of the system as the components of PV system are known to be high in price. With the energy management system, the output produced can be monitored as well as the performance of the PV system itself. Besides that, the energy management system is also designed to reduce the need of human supervision around the clock by introducing automated mechanism and processes for the PV system. The scopes of this project include the collection of output data from the PV system, the program writing for the automation processes and also the display of the output produced by the PV system | |
