Conventional farming has been a long-applied method of farming which requires large amount of water and space. Fortunately, urban farming has been long introduced to solve this problem. This thesis discussed on the current situation of urban farming around the world including Malaysia. There are a lot of technology used for urban farming around the world such as largest indoor aeroponic farming in New York and smart hydroponics farming inside recycled shipping container from Boston. Meanwhile, urban farming in Malaysia still lacking on implementation of technology and focus more on hydroponics method of farming. Ten past projects have been reviewed before starting the aeroponic system design creation. Three concept design has been generated and concept design 1 has been chosen for this project. This project designed and developed an automated aeroponics system that can alert user when low tank level, irrigate with different pattern, and activate LED timely. Stress, strain, and pump pressure analysis have been done resulting factor of safety more than two and producing maximum pressure 5.99 bar across the system. Three experiment conducted on the prototype with different irrigation pattern resulting configuration 3 with 15 second every 20 minutes and 18 hours of lighting provide highest plant growth. A few recommendations on lightning setup, user control misting cycle and water pump also discussed in the end of this thesis.en_US
