The imbalance of the power generation and the load consumption can cause excess energy losses and increase of the generation cost. One of the solution to overcome this problem is by developing the load profile of the distribution network as the load consumption pattern can be predicted. This method helps a lot in the planning and management of the power system. IEEE 33 bus configuration has been used to be analyse of the distribution network. Firstly, random power has been generated to each bus as the load in the distribution is uncertain. Statistical method is used to sampled the number using Monte Carlo simulation by following the Gamma distribution. Alpha and Beta parameter for the Gamma distribution are taken from the distribution planning for Subang Jaya area. Load flow analysis is carried out by using Gauss Seidel iteration method to obtain the bus voltage and then the current for each line. The line profile generated will be analyse with the probability distribution graph. Best fit graph of the line profile is obtained with the minimum error of the simulated line profile with the Gamma distribution graph that varying in Alpha and Beta value. The graph with minimum error will shows the optimal value of Alpha and Beta.
