dc.description.abstractThisiresearchibaseistudyiwasiconducteditoitestitheicapabilityiofiZIF-8iasidye removal from aqueous solution with 3 types of fatty alcohol. TheifattyialcoholsiwereiOctyl alcohol (C8), Decylialcoholi(C10)iandiDodecylialcoholi(C12). TheisynthesisiofiZIF- 8iwereiperformedifromitheipastiresearch.iThe characterization of ZIF-8 (C8), ZIF-8 (C10) and ZIF-8 (C12) were conducted usingiX-RayiDiffractioni(XRD)iand Field Emission Scanning ElectroniMicroscopyiwithiEnergyiDispersiveiX-Ray Spectroscopy i(FESEM-EDX).iThe XRDiresult showsi the peakaintensityaof corresponding plane (011), (022) and (112)iwhichiwereitheioutstandingipeakibased.iFESEMiimagesishows allisampleistructureihaveisharpiedges,igoodiuniformityiand corneraalsoawell-defined facets.iThe shapeiof ZIF-8 crystallize structureawas rhombic dodecahedron morphology with 53 nm-125 nm crystalisize. EDX analysisiresults showifour kindiof elements presence insideithe ZIF-8 whichiwere Carbon,iNitrogen,iOxygen, andiZinc. Perkin Elmer Lambda 35 UV-Vis Spectrometer foriacid red 8b dye solutionion adsorption capacity with ZIF-8 (C18), ZIF-8 (C10) and ZIF-8 (C12) were 7.999 mg g- 1, 1.1990 mg g-1 and 1.849 mg g-1 at initialiconcentration of 200 mg. FT-IR spectra for ZIF-8idissolvediin acid red 8b dye aistrongiand broadiadsorption peak in a wavelength 3600icm−1 − 3250icm− and 3000icm−1 – 3200icm−1. Dataiobtainediareiplotted andican be usedias theifutureireference for theinext research.en_US
