Abstract
This is a research-based thesis project that describes the idea of developing and setting up a broadcasting system in College of Engineering (COE), UNITEN. This broadcasting system has the concept of a non-commercial LPFM radio station. The abbreviation of this system's name is COEB, whereby this system is designed to relay information, news, relevant college/university based content and provide opportunity to gain live broadcasting training experience (radio systems) especially for the benefits of the COE community via internet and FM broadcasting. The project work research consist of performing FM Scanning and obtaining results of the most suitable (interference free from the existing radio station's channels) FM radio frequency to be used to broadcast the COEB's channel and also as support documentation for the MCMC license application. Moreover, this thesis also describes the design and development of the COEB's broadcasting studio and resulting reliable system architectures that provides sufficient coverage with the necessary, costing/quotations and guidelines that ensures the COEB is a reliable medium of communication for the COE community.
