dc.description.abstractThis thesis deals on designing fire detection system and security system in laboratories using ZigBee technology. At the moment, many laboratories in the university involves in fire accidents and robbery. This results in huge loss to the relevant organization. To tackle this issue fire detection sensor and motion detection sensor used in laboratories to avoid the consequences. Fire or theft occurs in the laboratories the responsible person will receive an alert notification from mobile app. Wireless communication has been established many laboratories to one central node at a same time. Wireless communication built as a network topology to send and receive signals. Moreover, hardware equipment’s such as NRF24L01 ZigBee modules, MQ2 smoke sensor, HRSC01 PIR sensor, LDR sensor , Arduino UNO microcontroller , NodeMCU 1.0 involved in designing the prototype. However, Arduino IDE software plays an important role in creating programming file to execute the working process. Mobile app called BLYNK used in this project to represent the sensors in term of led widgets and to create alert notifications.en_US
