This thesis reports the difference in fluid behavior between a supersonic jet impinging on a flat surface versus on a curved surface. A supersonic impinging jet is a jet that contains fluid flowing in supersonic speed. In the past there are very few research papers that focus on the studies of supersonic jet impinging on a flat surface. It is undeniable that most jets for example jets in rockets and Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) aircrafts impinge on flat surface, but that does not mean all jets have to impinge on flat surfaces. Sometimes jets are required to impinge on curved surfaces, and this is very common in the field of manufacturing. The behavior of the fluid upon impingement is extremely important and should be studied as the factors like temperature, velocity and density of the fluid will highly affect the products manufactured, thus these factors have to be under control in order to produce the desirable products. In this thesis, three simulations will be run on three Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) cases of different jet geometries.
